Cassandra Monique Batie is a performer, songwriter and actress from the US. She specializes in R&B & soul. The Grammy Award, Children's and Family Emmy Award and Golden Globe Award are just a few of her many awards she's received. The singer was also considered for nominations to an Academy Award. Andra isn't just an old school R&B performer, but her gospel blues and jazz is presented in a manner that's effortless and stylish. Stand Up for Something, her 2017 contribution to the score of Marshall for the film Marshall earned her the Academy Award as well as a Grammy. The actress was born Cassandra Monique Batie in Edmonds Washington Andra Day grew up living in San Diego and its metropolitan region where she sang in worship and attended the School of Creative and Performing Arts. When she left the school she leaned toward contemporary R&B and pop music, but was eventually drawn back to the classic jazz and soul singers she listened to when she was a child. Kai Millard Morris caught her performance and gave her music to Stevie Wonder. Motown legendary Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day's following on YouTube increased rapidly after she teamed up with Gurvitz, Jeffrey Evans and Buskin. Day ultimately signed a major label deal in partnership with Warner Bros. The track was listened to rapidly by radio DJs. In the year 2015, following her signing to Warner Bros. Records she began working on her debut record Cheers To The Fall featuring Adrian Gurvitz. The album featured the hit single Rise Up that became an anthem for social justice movements across the globe. Day won two Grammy nominations in the category in the category of Best R&B Album for her album. Day released The United States Vs. Billie Holiday in 2019, an album that explores the life and career of jazz legend Billie Holiday. In the same year, she appeared in a biopic on Holiday's story, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Mathichak was born America. She first appeared in television series such as 666 Park Avenue, Orange Is the New Black and Blue Bloods before making her movie debut in the role of Allyson Nelson on the horror film series Halloween as well as the sequels. Andi Mattichak was born on May 3, 1994 in Framingham Massachusetts.
